Jul 28, 2021 – Matthew 5:29/ “Stumble”/ 1 Peter

But if your right eye causes you to stumble”, pluck it out and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna.

The “right eye” represent the right side of the mind, which is our creative mind. So, the verse tells us that if our creativity/ our imagination causes us to fall into sin, then we should “cut it off”. The way we cut it off is by diverting our attention somewhere else and rejecting it within ourselves.

Our eyes is the most sensitive part of our body, which means it’s the most vulnerable. All the lust of the eye enters into the heart and if we are delighted in our hearts by the sin our eyes, we are living in darkness. The light of this world, the pleasures of the flesh all perishes. The true light, which is the light of Christ never perish for it is perfect.

When we seek the pleasures of this world we are rejecting the perfect gift of God, his righteousness. If we defile ourselves with this world, we will find ourselves under the same judgement of that which have defiled us. One of the things God did in exodus was that he prevent the Children of Israel from experiencing any of the curses that plagued the Egyptians.

God will do the same for us, when we walk in his righteous light of holiness and don’t cause ourselves to stumble by falling to the lust of the flesh. Eve in the garden was consumed by the lust of the flesh and cause her whole body to sin and when she did, she became naked and ashamed. That’s how we are without God’s light we are ashamed and naked, though thru the perversion of the flesh the world have taken great pride in their nakedness and glorified in the body clothed in shame. Ye, they and their sins shall have the same judgement.

Let’s look at what Peter says about our “stumble”>

1 Peter 2:6
“See, I lay in Zion a stone,

a chosen and precious cornerstone;

and the one who believes in Him

will never be put to shame.
Shame is what we are left with after we stumble. If we walk in his righteous we will not stumble.
Philippians 3:19
For their end is destruction,
 whose God is their belly
and their glory is in their shame-
these whose minds are in the dirt.

The glory comes in the end, the glory is what we all work towards, it’s a reward.

In Philippians it speaks to those who rejected that stone spoken of in Peter, whose glory is in their shame. As I have mention, the shame comes in the end, and their end, shall be their shame.

God is whom we serve while we are alive but those who have rejected God, they live to serve themselves, their belly is what the live to serve. They seek to fulfill the least desire in the flesh, but God cause all of them to fall into destruction, all of those who thoughts are not of God but of the filth of this life. They can never reach the fullness of their pleasure, they are caused to make continual sacrifices to please the flesh, lest it hunger unto death. There is no escaping it, you’re master is your belly and it’s a cruel master, who punishes all who serves it and reward the guilty. Let us rejoice for we serve a righteous God, who desire for all of us to be full and complete like him, not having any of us lacking any good thing.

1 Peter 2:8
To you who believe, then, this stone is precious.
But to those who do not believe,
...“A stone of stumbling

and a rock of offense.

If we believe Christ, we receive his gift of light, the very light that Adam and Eve was deprived of when they sinned. This light is precious and the stone, which the world have rejected is the foundation of our lives, so not only is this stone what saved us, it sustains us, like a foundation of a house. They who don't have the light and walk in darkness, are bound to fall and Peter says that it is Christ who cause them to fall for they eventually run against him. Just like those who live a lie, their enemy is the truth, but those who live in truth, their greatest advocate/defense is the truth.

The truth offends those who live a lie, just like those who live in darkness are offended by the light, because it reveals all their sins.

Christ was the one who laid the foundations of the world, so that which last, is built upon him. He is the rock of salvation, he is the rock that Moses strike to give water (life) to the people of Israel. He is the stone that David slung at Goliath, that cause the philistines to serve the Israelites, which means those whom have rejected Christ, eventually Christ will rule over.
1 Peter 2:7
“The stone the builders rejected
 has become the cornerstone,”
In 1 Peter verse 8, the stone was called an “offense”
We being believers aren’t offended by the “stone” which is the “truth” and when we aren’t offended by the “truth”, we are called “blessed”.
“And blessed is he,
whoever will not take offense at me.” - Luke 7:23

Christ came so that we might be blessed and blessed beyond measure. When we hear the words of Christ and we don’t get offend we are wise and blessed. Let’s look at proverbs to see how the scripture describe those who aren’t offended by the “truth”.

Proverbs 9:8
Do not rebuke an evil one,
 lest he hate you,
 but rebuke a wise one,
for he will love you.
Proverbs 3:12
For whom the LORD loves He reproves,
Even as a father,
the son in whom he delights.

When we hear the truth let us not reject it from entering into our hearts, just because the truth may offend us, lest we be deceived by a pleasing lie, from lying lips that appeals to the deceit in the heart. Let your heart be bountiful with the word of the Lord which establishes every good & true thing within us, creating a seal of protection from the wrath of the Lord that we may not be accursed.
1 Peter 2:8
They stumble because they disobey the word—
and to this they were appointed.

When the scripture says they was “appointed” that means that God, knowing all things, knew that they was going to do it beforehand, and when the did disobey, God already had a plan in place for it to happen. This is even true for Adam and Eve, God knew that if they sin, they would die and even told them, that’s what would happen and intended for this to happen. He didn’t want nor cause them to sin and the same for us, but he appointed them to be in a position to sin, know that they would. This is why when we pray, we say “led us not into temptation” in the hopes that God delivers us from that appointed time of temptation. God knew in genesis, that he was going to flood the earth and in Revelation that he was going to destroy the earth, these are appointed times in the world. We should pray that we don’t have to face it, we should pray that God delivers us and we find a way of escape from these troubling hours.

Salt of the Earth

Matthew 5:13
"You are the salt of the earth..."
What makes us the salt of the earth?
1 Peter 2:9
"(you are)...to proclaim the virtues of Him
who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

When we have the virtue of God, that’s what makes us the salt of the earth. Salt is a preservative, when we preserve God’s word in our hearts, he will preserve us. It is him in us that saved us and if he’s in us then we are in him.

When we lived in darkness we had no virtue to God but when we are in God’s light, the virtue of that light is on us and we are the virtue of God in the world/ the light of the world.

Matthew 5:13
...But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot"

As we have spoken of, the salt is virtue. If you being the virtue of God, lose your virtue, how then will you regain the virtue of God and be again the virtue. This is not possible for you’ll become hypocrites and there is no virtue with God in hypocrisy. Even if you seem good to the world, you will longer be any good to God, causing you to lose your reward.

Just as Adam and Eve lost the virtue of God, they was thrown out of the garden and had to toll with the earth, to reap the reward and the virtue of the world, instead of the virtue of God.

What’s interesting is that, God condemned Adam to toll with the earth and Jacob being the patriarch of the 12 Tribes, tolled with God, he wrestled with God until day broke. This is significant because for us to toll with some/wrestle with something it has to be in our possession and we are in its. We are called to wrestle and toll with the world of God until the light returns, The returning of the light is the return of Christ, so if we being like Jacob, wrestle with the word of God which is God and we prevail, we will gain favor with the Lord and just like Jacob be blessed, if we endure and wrestle to the end, until Christ return. The wrestling of God and Jacob, is the wrestling between flesh and blood. We all must wrestle with our flesh, and if we overcome it, we will have power and dominion over it.

When Jesus was in the wilderness being tempted, he wrestle with his own flesh and when he prevailed he had angels serving and ministering unto him. This is what makes the virtue of the world, because we have overcame just as Christ has.

What’s also interesting about the Jacob story is that, God touched his hip and caused him to limp when he walk. This is the same of us with Christ, we are caused to stumble in our walk with God. God is trying to get us to submit but we are going against God, in our carnal understanding, the Word of God won’t makes sense to our simple worldly mind, we must wrestle with the Word of God, to gain the power of it and when we prevail with God, we can overcome the world. If wrestle with the truth and prevail, lies will not have power over us, we can trample over demons. This is incident speaks to how when we encounter God’s word we shall forever be changed, just as Jacob was after wrestling with the angel. The truth of the spirit is against the lie of the flesh, we must not let the flesh prevail in us, because it won’t in the world, God will allow evil to endure for a little while, but only a little while before it perishes.

1 Peter 2:11
"...desires of the flesh, which war against your soul."
12 "...they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us."

Matthew 5:14
"A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;"

If we are the salt of earth, then we savor God’s word. His word is nourishment to our bodies, food for the soul.

Our body are like a city. A city like Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed and Nineveh was saved. If we reject God’s word from entering our bodies (heart), then we will be like Sodom and Gomorrah and be destroyed. If we preserve the wickedness of this world in our heart’s we would be like Lot’s wife and we will not escape the Judgement of the Lord. God turned her into a pillar of salt because she looked back. Whatever you give your attention to, you preserve, when she looked back, she was preserving the wickedness of that city in her body. God seeing that, turned her into salt, to keep her from leaving that which she preserved in her hearts. We are called to forsake wickedness and unrighteousness, leaving all that we have in this world to obtain that which is of God. We cannot mingle the virtue of God and the virtue of this world in our hearts (body).

Revelation 3:16
“And you are lukewarm
and neither cold nor hot,
I am going to vomit you from my mouth.”

If we don't reject the world from our lives and living in our hearts, God's going to reject us. We cannot enter into him with the residue and filth of this world, still residing in our heart. God seeks for us to be fully his and he will accept/receive us or fully belong to the world where he will reject/forsake us.

God has already forsaken this world, as Jesus cried out on the cross. If he has forsake this world and the world rejected him and his son Christ, how will you being like the world, will not get rejected from God or be saved if you reject is son?

Ye, the father was the first to reject the world, sending Adam and Eve out the garden, them and all their generation will be rejected, expect one that is Christ and if we are the descends of Christ, we will not be rejected also. We will return to the "garden".

The garden is hidden. The garden is "God's Den", the place where God dwells. God placed man in the garden, so that he can have his own "kingdom" which means "King's Domain". The garden was Adam's Kingdom, and when we return, we shall be kings, have power and dominion over all the earth. Christ left the earth but shall return and we shall leave this body but return with a new body. Christ will have new form but that body, with the wounds of his crucifixion, shall remain and we shall see as Thomas have seen the wounds and believe as Thomas believed.

Even though Adam and Eve was immediately separated from God's Light, which was Christ, they didn't die. Just as we in this world, separate from Christ, because of sin. Christ defeated sin, so we no longer have to be separated from Christ, he can be joined unto us and we unto him. When we have Christ, we are clothed in God's marvelous light. All is restore when we return back unto the garden being clothing in the light of Christ as we were in the beginning.

Don’t envy those that don’t carry their cross.

Love all and be love to all.

— Oscar Wilde.

I post daily this is my personal space to write, be a creative, reflect, and share my thought. Spiritually/God based. Every place is a building, no place is called a built, but building. This place is a building. No, not a physical one but nevertheless a building. where I place blocks of words to build to comprise something worth reading. Nobody is fully built we are all buildings.

Look at this verse:

“Everyone therefore who hears these my words, and does them, will be likened to the wise man who built his house on solid rock. 25And the rain descended and the floods came and the wind blew, and they rushed against the house and it did not fall, for its foundation was laid on solid rock. 26And everyone who hears these my words, but does not practice them, will be likened to the foolish man who built his house on sand. 27And the rain descended and the floods came, and the wind blew, and they rushed against that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.” – Matthew 7:24-27 (ARAMAIC)

And YHVH spoke unto Moses, saying, “Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes [Heb. tzitziyot] in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribbon of blue. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of YHVH, and do them; and that you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go a whoring, that you may remember, and do all my commandments, and be set apart unto your Elohim. I am YHVH your Elohim, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim: I am YHVH your Elohim.”

Numbers 15:37–41

The fringe is a very important piece of the garments in the old testament, It was to symbolize Yah’s commandments. It was a tassel, like the one’s we wear when we graduate, and it was bound unto our garment, which represents our flesh.

Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

Deuteronomy 6:8

These commands are placed upon us as a reminder of God, lest we forget and fall into sin. What God commanded in the old testament to do physically with tassels, we are commanded to do it spiritually with God’s law.

Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

Proverbs 6:21

Normally we will associate someone being bonded by their hands, feet, and neck as slaves. We are not slaves but we are bound by God’s Law and commandments. If we are slaves, we are slaves unto God. He is the one who set us free from slavery to sin and made us bondman to the Gospel of Christ, bound by God’s law and commandments.

Tie them on your neck and write them upon the tablets of your heart.

Proverbs 7:3

Instead of it being a physical tassel that bound the commands unto us, it’s our love for God’s commandment that binds them unto us. When we were a slave unto sin, loving the flesh and following after the desires of the flesh, we had no bind unto God’s Law. Now we are slaves unto God, lose from the flesh we are bound by his law by our love unto him.

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

John 14:15

We were called to keep God’s commandments and when we do, though we were bound to sin as a slave we are made free. Though we once had freedom of the flesh when we were slaves to it, we are now slaves unto God bound by his commandments.

For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave, is the Lord’s freed person; likewise the one who was called as free, is Christ’s slave.

1 Corinthians 7:22

Look at what Christ told Peter:

“I tell you the truth, when you were young, you were able to do as you liked; you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and others will dress you and take you where you don’t want to go.”

John 21:18

Know you not, that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you ? – 1 Corinthians 3:16

The Church is not the house of God no more than your body. People come to Church to honor God then dishonor him with their bodies.

A house is a dwelling place. We are meant to treat our bodies with respect and do nothing in it that dishonors God.

God has made his home in us, within our hearts. This is why Christ cares so much about matters of the heart.

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. – Proverbs 4:23

All the fruits of our actions started out from the seeds sown into the heart. Christ is the seed, that was sown in the world. The earthly/external rejected Christ, but if we receive him in the heart/internal then we gain victory over the flesh and will receive a crown of life.

Peter prophetically denied Christ 3 times, reflecting how the flesh, will reject God. Jesus knew because he has rejected the flesh and if God has rejected it, then it will also reject him. The flesh has no part with God, no inheritance, no relationship with God.

Like Paul we are called to “die daily” rejecting the flesh every day we dwell in it.

We can only know God through the spirit of God and that spirit which dwells in us.

The fact that people save money for bills at the end of the month, but not preserve God’s will and commandment at the end of their life is foolishness.

I struggle with my flesh like every man but I know God’s word to be true the spirit of God has confirmed all things that are righteous in me and condemn all things that are wrong in me. If any man receives this spirit and go forward in a life of sin reap comdemnation unto his soul/self.

If my soul comes from God then that means that I can also take pleasure in righteousness as he takes pleasure in righteousness and he can take pleasure in me in righteousness. Glory be to God.

January 24, 2022

This from a post I made back in 2017 … Jesus said..

“Healthy people don’t need a doctor–sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” – (Matthew 9:12)

If only people could have let go of their pride acting as if everything is OK as if they don’t need to be healed or changed. Like the woman who grab Jesus garment to be healed from blood issues, we need to seek & cleave to God. We gotta chase him, and he is ready to receive us with open arms.

“Yeshua said to them: “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.” – John 7:6

That means God is not like man, there is no bad timing to talk to God, or to seek him.. The time is always ready. If we are willing to humble ourselves he will answer our call.

The needs are far more important than the wants but sometimes we deprioritize the needs to get what we want. It may quench our desires for a moment, but it will cause us down the line.

January 11, 2022

I gained God’s favor thru unfavorable situations. Don’t flee from adversity, for God said adversity will come, don’t despise those who persecute you for he said persecution will come. Instead, flee from sin, flee from wickedness, flee from the devil’s temptations and cleave to what’s right and holy.

Some people might not appreciate the sacrifices you make for them, that’s fine. Neither have they appreciated the sacrifice God made for them and in all their ways they disobey and rebel against God, seeking his image but denying his identity/power (There’s power in God’s word, there’s power in living holy, there’s power in speaking God’s word, but the wicked will have you to believe there’s no power in it, for they don’t live it), they speak and have no knowledge, condemn and have no salvation for themselves.

They live in fear and confusion, God is not the author of confusion but has given us a sound mind. The ground they walk is constantly unstable and all that they establish upon it, shall come to ruin but those us who establish ourselves on God’s word shall endure, from everlasting to everlasting

People will hate you and turn against you but better it is to be hated of the world than to be hated by God. No man has a hell or a heaven to put you in, no man can deliver you from God’s wrath and punishment. It’s a small sacrifice on this walk of faith. Ye, even to lose your life to follow him, is a small sacrifice, because it’s better to lose your life than to lose your soul.

A lot of folks are living off of borrowed time, taking what doesn’t belong to them and giving unto another as if it was theirs. Truly truly, no man can lend you salvation, it comes from God, you have to seek it from him yourself. No man can attest to the father for you but Christ Jesus.

Better it is to lose the world and gain Christ than to lose your soul to gain the richness of this world. Ye, you are in poverty and calamity awaits you.

January 10, 2022 pt .2

People can convince themselves of their own actions, but can you convince God?

People always look for a ways to justify doing evil instead of doing what’s right regardless of what someone else does.

If someone can cause you to sin, then you’re already doom.

Any a man that hides behind a lie, a lie will destroy him. Or hides behind a deception, a deception will destroy him. A lie has no loyalty to no one, but the truth is faithful to all those who stand on it and confess it.

Above all things, seek God. For he is faithful to all those who seek him.

Deny anything that is not like God, for those who reject the truth will be rejected of the truth. For every man shall have his day. Every denier shall be denied.

All those who confess Christ before men, Christ shall speak well of you to the father. He knows all those whom are his and aren’t by their fruits. For in abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and through the belief and the confession of Christ a soul shall be saved.

January 9, 2021

The devil is indiffrent to your sins, God is not. Get right with God before it’s too late. Ask God for deliverance, he who is faithful over a few things is faithful over many. God is true and everything unlike him is a lie, all these things that oppose him will be destroyed, every lie, every abominable thing, God will destroy, it will not endure.

Establish yourself on God’s word and his word alone!
